Your Role: At the Heart of Etihad’s Cargo Network
As a Cargo Controller, you’ll be part of Etihad’s 24/7 Cargo Operations Center, responsible for real-time coordination of global shipments. From special cargo handling to managing disruptions, your actions will directly impact operational performance, compliance with global standards, and service KPIs such as OTP (On-Time Performance), SLA (Service Level Agreement), and FAP (Freight Accuracy Performance).
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires sharp thinking, teamwork, and strong communication across multiple departments and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage special and urgent shipments to meet service timelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks
- Analyze root causes of delays and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with ground handling and logistics teams across the network
- Communicate shipment status to customers and internal teams in real time
- Support KPI tracking and process optimization efforts
- Manage disruptions and develop recovery plans to minimize impact
- Maintain compliance with international cargo handling standards
Who We’re Looking For
- Education: High school diploma required; diploma in logistics/operations preferred
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in air cargo operations or customer service
- Knowledge: Familiarity with cargo procedures, international freight practices, and regulatory standards
- Certifications: DG (Dangerous Goods), AVI, Security, or Customer Service certifications are a plus
- Skills: Strong communication, decision-making, and analytical skills
