Role Overview
As a Freighter Loading Expert, you will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely loading and unloading of cargo from freighter aircraft. This is a shift-based position requiring teamwork, leadership, and an in-depth understanding of airside cargo operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all ground support and loading activities for freighter flights
- Ensure compliance with dnata and airport safety procedures and standards
- Conduct and participate in safety briefings; proactively address safety concerns
- Lead loading/unloading of main deck cargo
- Collaborate with Airside Loading Supervisors to address operational issues
- Authorize any changes or deviations in cargo loading plans
- Assign duties and oversee team performance during shifts
- Ensure the availability and safe condition of all necessary equipment
- Handle special cargo with strict adherence to safety protocols
Candidate Requirements
- Education: High School Certificate or Diploma in Ground Handling
- Experience: 2–6 years in aircraft cargo handling or airside operations
- License: Valid UAE Driving License (required for ADP access)
- Skills:
- Strong written and spoken English
- Supervisory and leadership experience
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Solid understanding of aircraft turnaround procedures
