About the Role
As a Store Keeper, you’ll play a central role in managing the storage and distribution of spare parts and materials essential to EKFC’s vehicle and asset maintenance operations. Your responsibility includes ensuring inventory accuracy, timely availability of parts, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Receiving & Quality Inspection: Verify incoming materials for quality, quantity, expiry, and warranty against purchase orders.
- Inventory Control: Maintain real-time stock levels using ERP systems and coordinate smooth issuance to workshop teams.
- FIFO Compliance: Ensure the First-In, First-Out method is consistently applied to minimize material wastage.
- Tool Management: Track special tools, handle tool issuance and returns, and manage disposal of damaged items.
- Requisition Processing: Raise and process purchase requests post-approval to maintain supply continuity.
- Petty Cash Handling: Manage petty cash with full accountability and maintain proper documentation.
- Storage Safety & Compliance: Organize and store materials, especially hazardous items, as per safety regulations.
- Documentation & Records: Maintain updated, auditable records for all inventory and tool movements.
- Workshop Coordination: Support technicians and supervisors with timely parts provisioning for maintenance tasks.
Candidate Requirements
Education:
- Minimum: Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
Experience:
- Mandatory:
- Sound knowledge of automobile spare parts.
- Hands-on experience in inventory management within a fleet maintenance or mechanical environment.
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with equipment repair programs.
Skills:
- Proficiency in English (spoken & written).
- Solid computer skills, especially in MS Office and ERP tools.
- Training in First Aid or Firefighting is an advantage.
