Role Overview – Equipment Operator
As an Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in managing and operating Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to ensure efficient airport operations. The job involves tasks related to baggage handling, cargo movement, and aircraft turnaround, all within a high-paced airside environment where safety and precision are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and inspect ground support equipment safely.
- Load and unload baggage and cargo as per instructions.
- Safely marshal vehicles around aircraft stands.
- Manage Unit Load Devices (ULDs) and staging areas.
- Assist passengers requiring ambulance or special handling services.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report defects.
- Ensure timely servicing and maintenance of equipment.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum High School Certificate (10 years of schooling).
- At least 2 years of experience operating GSE.
- Prior airport operations training is preferred.
- Valid UAE or GCC manual driving license.
- Basic communication skills and strong safety awareness.
- Knowledge of Human Factors Training (HFT) and Dangerous Goods Training (DGT) is an advantage.
