Job Overview
The Equipment Operator supports daily airport ground operations by handling the movement, loading, and unloading of baggage and cargo, and by operating Ground Support Equipment (GSE). The role demands accuracy, physical ability, safety awareness, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate GSE equipment such as baggage tractors, belt loaders, and container loaders (training provided).
- Perform safety inspections and report hazards or irregularities.
- Conduct daily equipment checks to ensure operational readiness.
- Safely handle baggage, cargo, mail, and aircraft supplies.
- Follow SOPs, Etihad safety policies, and UAE aviation regulations.
- Report incidents, safety violations, and near-misses as required.
- Assist with handheld system operations and relevant documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid UAE Driver’s License (mandatory).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in ground services or aviation operations.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks in outdoor environments.
- Strong communication and safety awareness.
- Knowledge of airport safety procedures is an added advantage.
